Saturday, February 26th, 2011 –
This is the third lecture in our series co-sponsored with The California Institute of Integral Studies and will feature Ken Burns. Mr. Burns has been making documentary films for more than 30 years. He has directed and produced some of the most acclaimed historical documentaries ever made, including “The Civil War”, “Baseball”, “Jazz” and “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea”. The lecture will take place at 7:00 pm in Fort Mason Center’s Cowell Theatre, Landmark Building A at 99 Marina Boulevard in San Francisco.

KOSF Movie Night featuring “Assisi Silence” and “Rossellini's Little Flowers of Francis”. Discussion will take place before, after and during the movies. Pizza at 6:00 pm, movies start at 6:30 pm.

Continuing our lecture series Amanda Quantz will be featured. The subject of her talk will be "Saint Bonaventure’s Tree of Life". Pizza at 6:00 pm, lecture at 7:00 pm.

The works of Artist Katie Schmid will be on display Saturday and Sunday in Luogo Di Santa Chiara behind Nouva Porziuncola. Among her works will be a select number of her “Stations of the Cross.

Alioto, matriarch of the iconic Alioto Family: mother of Angela Alioto and her five brothers Lawrence, Joseph, John, Thomas and Michael. Rosary and Funeral services next week at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
